A product design project, this LED dimmable lamp synthesized the traditional Chinese knot with the Streamline Moderne design movement. The essence of interwoven lines, swooping curves, and cultural symbolism were captured via this comforting, warm, and meaningful prototype. A combination of fabrication methods were utilized, notably CNC and Laser Cutting to create sheets which could be laminated together. I jointly handled design with Joshua Tio, Adrienne Fong, Alan Yang and Nami Kim, and solely oversaw fabrication of the prototype.
